Pertrochantäre Frakturen sind weltweit die am häufigsten operierten Frakturen, weisen jedoch die höchste postoperative Sterblichkeitsrate auf. Die konservative Behandlung dieser Frakturen ist mit einer fast doppelt so hohen Sterblichkeitsrate verbunden. Das Plattensystem mit dynamischer Hüftschraube (DHS) ist nach wie vor der bevorzugte "Goldstandard", da der "Kollaps zur Stabilität" ein deutlicher Vorteil ist. In dieser Arbeit werden die Auswirkungen "chirurgieunabhängiger" Morbiditäten wie Alter, Geschlecht, Frakturtyp, Grad der Zerkleinerung und Osteopenie sowie "chirurgiebezogener" Morbiditäten wie Frakturreposition, Schraubenplatzierung und Tip-Apex-Abstand (TAD) auf das Ergebnis analysiert.
