Synopsis "Eye 2 Eye: A 3rd Book of Rhyme (in English)"

Initially, when I wrote my first book of rhyme, I included a brief explanation with many of my poems, so that the reader would know what was going through my mind at the time, or what had inspired that poem. That is why I titled it "Little Book of Rhyme... And Reason". I continued this idea into my second book, "Below a Tree...", and you will find it again in the pages of this book, as well. A large proportion of the poems are tweetable - 140 characters or less, as I want to be able to respond to events or comment on things that happen around the world - and what better way to do it than in rhyme. The other reason for many of these poems being so short is that I have been taking part in the weekly V0Ella poetry competition (@V0Etry). There's no prize for these competitions beyond the praise or appreciation of others who also contribute in the same way. As ever, I've grouped the poems into categories -Nature - Love - V0Ella - World Events - Life and Fun. The good thing about these distinct categories is that they're not that distinct, some poems could fit into more than one category. I could have just left the poems a they were written, like some time-line, but I thought that if people have favourites, they will be easier to find this way. So, it only leaves me to explain the title of this latest book, "Eye 2 Eye". I found myself thinking a lot about eyes - how they can tell you so much about a person (or seem to). We use our eyes so much for communication, not only giving off signals, but in reading them too. You will find several poems in this book that pay homage to, or hint at this important feature.
