In interdisziplinarem Ausgriff erortern die in diesem Band dokumentierten Vortrage der 25. Jahrestagung der Rudolf-Bultmann-Gesellschaft fur Hermeneutische Theologie e.V. von A. Grund-Wittenberg, T. Kaufmann, T. Kleffmann, P.-G. Klumbies und H. Schwier grundlegende Fragen der Zeitdeutung, erganzt durch eine akademische Gedenkrede fur Otto Merk (1933-2021). English summary: Time is a basic category of perception and interpretation of human existence. It is a central task of theology, being time-bound itself, to identify different conceptions of time as well as the corresponding understanding of man, world and history in the biblical, Christian and philosophical traditions. In Christian perspective God is seen as the origin of time and, in the Christ event, being present in time as the creator himself. Therefore, in the mode of faith, fulfilled eternity presents itself in the moment of time. In an interdisciplinary approach, these lectures of the 25th annual conference of the Rudolf-Bultmann-Society for Hermeneutical Theology by A. Grund-Wittenberg, T. Kaufmann, T. Kleffmann, P.-G. Klumbies und H. Schwier discuss fundamental questions of the understanding of time, supplemented by the speech in academic memory for Otto Merk (1933-2021).
