Many have embraced the grim perception that we are too far gone to turn around. Some have exchanged the feeling of helplessness for hopelessness. Mere daily challenges have been turned into struggles. The reality is that it's not all bad. There is a greater strength within us which helps us to rise from the depths of whatever state we find ourselves in. Regardless of what condition the world is in, there is hope. As we examine the accounts of each of the lives of the characters we will read about, bear in mind that all of their unpleasant situations were changed for the better. When we accept the fact that a greater power resides in us, and is in full control of all things, we can see ourselves rising above any and all circumstances.
