Synopsis "Emma (in English)"

Emma is a comic novel written by Jane Austen, in English, published for the first time in 1815 by the publisher John Murray, on the perils of misinterpreting the romance. The main character, Emma Woodhouse, describes herself as "beautiful, smart and rich" but also quite spoiled Emma is an imperishable work and her protagonist occupies one of the places of honor in the gallery of the unforgettable heroines of universal literature. The meaning of Emma, descends from the meaning "Goddess of Love and fertility," "Goddess of desire" Emma Woodhouse is a young lady in Regency England. He lives with his father, a hypochondriac characterized mainly by his excessive concern for the health and welfare of those he loves. Miss Woodhouse is determined to act as a matchmaker for her friendships and relationships. But in dealing with the affairs of her friends she forgets to attend to her own feelings. Emma's friend, and the only person who criticizes her, is Knightley Knightley, his "neighbor" and brother-in-law (brother of her sister's husband), ten years her senior. When her governess, Miss Taylor, who was practically her friend and confidant, decides to marry, Emma is left alone before its own feelings. Emma, paid for herself, believes that the marriage is due to her, having been the one who introduced her future husband, Miss Weston, to Miss Taylor. Emma faces a vacuum in her life and with a big dilemma: how to help others to have a life as perfect as yours.
