Salvatore Messina, ein italienischer Maler, wurde 1939 in Catania geboren. Er starb 2021 in der Nähe von Vicenza. Seine Werke wurden in zahlreichen Galerien in Italien, Frankreich und der Schweiz gezeigt. Kunstdrucke seiner Arbeiten befinden sich in Museen in New York, Madrid, Paris und Moskau. Messina erhielt bedeutende Auszeichnungen, darunter die Wandermedaille Italo-Iranischer Kultur. 2005 wurde ihm der Cesare d' Oro der Gazetta Europea verliehen sowie ein Preis von der Akademia Italiana di Letteratura dii Melbourne für künstlerische Verdienste.
