Synopsis "Dubai Bazaar (in English)"
Dubai is a melting pot where oil, money and glamor are fueling greed and success, envy and challenge. Through tumultuous days, the characters of a human parade plot to achieve their own selfish ends. Their paths will cross, aspirations will clash, dreams will crumble, passions will flourish and pursuits will collide. There is Jon, a candid young engineer; Rashed, the shrewd secret policeman; Malek, the unconventional air force pilot; Mo, the suicide bomber on an Al Qaeda mission; Alaistair, the old oil engineer planning his retirement; Katherina, the flashy socialite; Louis, the womanizing diplomat; and Boris the gangster, all tussling towards their own purposes, their own ends for some. On the surface, life in Dubai sparkles with luxury shops, fast cars, exciting horse races and polo games. Yet, behind the glow of the visible scenery, in the shadows of the majlis, in the corridors of power, in the back alleys of the poor people, an incredibly varied populace burgeons with all the desires of the world - the Dubai Bazaar.
