Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2021 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Neuere Deutsche Literatur, Note: 1,3, Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf (Institut für neuere deutsche Literaturwissenschaft), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Gregor Samsa ist ein Handlungsreisender, der sich eines Morgens im Körper eines Insektes wiederfindet. Oder? In dieser Hausarbeit wird der Beweis angetreten, dass Gregor weder Handlungsreisender (Mensch) noch Insekt ist, sondern vielmehr ein Zeichen, dessen Zeicheninhalt sich erst von Umgang mit Gregor her verstehen lässt. Das methodologische Rüstzeug stammt von Jaques Derrida, in dessen Konzeption des Zeichens zu Beginn kurz eingeführt wird. Die Hausarbeit liefert eine Dekonstruktion des Signifikanten Gregor Samsa und zeigt auf, dass simple Oppositionen wie Mensch-Tier längst nicht ausreichen "Die Verwandlung" adäquat zu verstehen.
