Once a small town girl, Detective Kat Gonzales is now the only female detective in the Corpus Christi Police Department. Her colleagues mostly ignore her. She's a good cop who wants recognition for doing her job as well as-or better than-the men. When the wife of Kat's boss is murdered, he is investigated as the prime suspect. As the murder of her boss's wife remains unsolved, a rash of homicides throughout Corpus Christi raises alarms. Kat works alongside two Texas Rangers brought in to help stop the bloodshed.
