Like the French version it reproduces, this English edition ("Dadou My Universe") is a tribute to my wife, Dorothy, and the people who contributed to our happiness. As a blossom of our marriage and a crystallization of our love journey, it aims at inspiring the couples seeking to fortify the roots of their union, and those trying to piece together a broken relationship. Ultimately it fulfills my dream to celebrate love, this divine heritage, and to share my work, with as many readers as possible, while satisfying the desire of those who liked and cherished the French edition and wished they could offer it to friends or family members who, unfortunately, were not fluent in the language.In this new edition, I strived and was able to tailor the word to word translation of the French, to create an artwork that preserves the meaning and captures the tone and the essence of the original. One poem: "Prayer" redesigned completely the French: "Mauvais temps", (meaning "Bad weather") that I could not render in English to my satisfaction, and I added "Solar eclipse" and two paintings: "Haitian merchants" and "Deserted beach".I hope you enjoy this English edition and the poems inspire and revive love.
