Synopsis "Crickets at Dawn...: A Photo/Poetry Collection (in English)"
This series of photo/poems is the product of a 'listening' exercise I was given to do and share. The goal was 30 pieces in 30 days. It was the discipline of working on it for 30 days that counted and as you will see, because some of them were more intensive, we actually only completed 21. We ended the exercise after 30 days, though, because that was the exercise guideline. To stop was as much the discipline as to begin. Some photos are mine, others are donated for the project. Same thing with the words attached to them. The idea was to 'listen' while viewing a photo and 'see' what it was saying. Some pictures were very chatty, others were very secretive and you had to gain their trust before they would tell you their secrets. I love spiritual poetry and photos separately, but sometimes, together, they enhance each other and become something new and wonderful.
