Dear Tired, Stressed Moms, Motherhood is that one experience that seems to evolve at an unhuman pace. It often feels like an eternity and a moment all wrapped within the palm of our hands, yet that is what makes motherhood special. It's an experience unlike anything that we have ever experienced before. That's why I wanted to write this book, as a way of encouraging our mothering hearts, especially at the end of a really hard day. At the same time, I wanted to create a means to document special moments through our own photographs in a scrapbooking kind of way to help to bring us back to our centeredness, a space of inspiration. As mothers, we give so much of the best pieces of ourselves to the world, particularly to our family, this book is an intimate way to create some personal space where our mind can be reminded of our heart's treasure. An ancient Chinese proverb reminds us: "It's not about what we have lost. It's about what we have owned."And that for me is probably the best definition of motherhood, the fine art of knowing when to hold on and when to let go, and when we let go - to let go with a content heart, knowing that we owned the time given to us, and we have used that time to grow beautiful things called our children's hearts to be loving, compassionate, and confident human beings.Therefore, the general structure of this book is created through my 40 mothering prayers for raining days, yet it allows you a lot of space to make this story your own - the way it should be. Feel free to include photographs, doodles, artwork from your children, or cards of appreciation into the blank spaces provided after each meditation. At the end of the day, this book is one tangible means to document probably one of the best chapters in our life.The endless creativity is what makes Crazy Sexy Motherhood a blank canvas....most of all, Crazy Sexy Motherhood is a reminder that Life is Serious, Motherhood Should Be Fun!
