Synopsis "Cottonshot (in English)"

Greg Tyler heard that his best friend from childhood, Andy Kendall, had recently died from a drug overdose. The two had been close friends growing up, but over the years had drifted apart, occasionally meeting when Greg was home in the winter. Tyler was a former professional baseball player who had suffered a career-ending injury soon after arriving in the Major Leagues. Tyler joined the Army Rangers and served in Desert Storm. After his service he returned to his hometown to go to college, enabling him to get a degree for a job in the "real world." When his dead friend's sister Abby told Tyler that Andy could not have started using drugs again as he was clean and committed to sobriety for two years, she begged Greg to find thetruth. Greg hesitated, but with the request coming from his childhood crush, he agreed to see if he could find out any information about Andy's death while not making any promises. Tyler began an examination into the death of his friend, which led him into the dark corners of the drugworld filled with evil people on both sides of the law. Was Kendall's overdose death an accident or was it something more?
