Synopsis "Clamp Loader of Escherichia Coli Dna Polymerase III: Kinetics of the Atp-dependent Steps in the Sliding-clamp Loading Reaction (in English)"

Abstract: Sliding clamps tether DNA polymerases to DNA to increase the processivity of synthesis. The Escherichia coli γ complex loads the β sliding clamp onto DNA in an ATP-dependent reaction in which ATP binding and hydrolysis modulate the affinity of the γ complex for β and DNA. This dissertation covers research describing the kinetic mechanism of clamp loading by gamma complex. Dissertation Discovery Company and University of Florida are dedicated to making scholarly works more discoverable and accessible throughout the world. This dissertation, "Clamp Loader of Escherichia Coli Dna Polymerase III" by Christopher R. Williams, was obtained from University of Florida and is being sold with permission from the author.
