Synopsis "Celestial Brothers (in English)"

Charles Redd and Abe Brown both die one the same morning when they go out jogging one from being hit by a car, the other from a massive coronary. They both end up in Spirit World, Charles in prison and Abe in paradise. They are both greeted by Timothy a resurrected being who is their guide in the Spirit World. Abe is given the calling of being a missionary companion with Timothy and there first investigator is Charles who knows little about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Charles and Abe go through the ropes of learning about how things work in the Spirit World. Those in Paradise are not restricted and have several freedoms, but they are also given callings and are constantly busy working. Thos in Prison cannot leave Prison, and do not have callings, many of them wallow in their own grief and self-pity. Paradise is beautiful where as Prison is like the earth but darker. There are many spirits in the Spirit World who Abe sees like Hitler who is just a small pathetic looking spirit who shrinks in the presence of Timothy and who mumbles and carries on in a mindless state. Abraham Lincoln on the other hand is a resurrected being who is called to help out with temple ordinances with his wife Mary. He still has his witty humor and wisdom he had when he was on the earth with the added knowledge of the gospel. Emma and Katt are left on earth to give birth to Charles and Abe's sons and to raise them alone. Emma goes back to school to become a school teacher and moved to Utah when she get a job teaching history at a high school. Katt goes back to her art and is hired on by an advertising firm to run advertising campaigns. Emma moves in the same neighborhood as Katt and they become best friends. Katt who is LDS tries fellowships Emma and tries to get her interested in the gospel. Jimmy and Craig who are the sons of Charles and Abe grow up next door to each other and become best friends. Craig who is LDS invited Jimmy to scouts and to church. Jimmy becomes involved in the church and wants to join the church, but his mother will not let him. Charles accepts the gospel in the Spirit World and waits for his work to be done for him on Earth. He and Abe work together to help their sons and wives to work out challenges they face on Earth. Charles becomes excited that his son Jimmy has been attending church and wants to become a member, he knows that Jimmy can do the work for him when he becomes a member and is old enough to do it. Craig becomes friend with another boy who has a bad influence on him and he starts doing things he should be doing. Jimmy tries to help Craig and end up being killed. Craig blames himself for what happened to Jimmy and turns his life around. He comes back to the church and end up going on a mission. When Craig comes back from his mission he does the work for both Jimmy and his father in the temple. He also gets married in the temple to his childhood sweetheart Jill. His father Abe gets resurrected in the Spirit World and receives a calling to work with Charles and Jimmy helping people with temple ordinances.
