Love, intrigue and international espionage merge in this fast moving novel set in the Cayman Islands, California and mainly the jungles of the Amazon. Fleeing Soviet Agent Sergei Obarov escapes to Brazil where he joins a company selling Amazonian creams and remedies. He falls deeply in love with a native girl, who is an identical twin - but since the twins share the same job in rotation and in secret, dangerous complications of identity arise. Chief female model for the company's snake venom face cream happens to be the wife of one of Obarov's main rivals working for the rival CIA. Circumstances, mainly to do with an imaginative terrorist plot to kill many famous American celebrities, force the two competing agents to foil the plot together and venge the murder of one on the twins by a jealous rival. This novel is a sequence to "Cold winds over Cayman", but is a complete narrative on its own.
