The Reflections of Jack Briggs, a young man whose desire for excitement and adventure lead him to quit college and join the U.S. Army during the early days of the Korean War, there he meets two men who are experts at martial arts and teach him the art, after 18 months he returns to the U.S. and encounters an unscrupulous Sergeant at the replacement center, in a contest Jack beats the Sergeant and gets his new assignment and leave papers, the Sergeant, with the help of his Captain try to cancel Jacks leave, on the advice from a man at the bus station Jack and three of his friends take refuge in a backroom of a restaurant to elude the sergeant, there Jack meets the girl who will latter become his wife, and with the help of her family he is able to out maneuver the two. Jack reports to his new assignment and is offered a promotion if he will volunteer for duty at a classified medical research location, the army has learned that Jack possesses a very unique ability which they want to explore and do extensive research. there the events that unfold will open new doors and dangers for Jack leading to rewards that he never dreamed possible.
