Synopsis "Can A Sistah' Get Sum Luv?: Educated African American Women Are Less Likely to Get Married (in English)"
This book is a research thesis projected completed in 2008; a requirement in obtaining my Master's in Education from University of Bridgeport. It gives a broad spectrum of underlying causes of African American women in the Black Community being less likely to marry once achieving a certain socio-economic status, educational level if not married already by the age of 40. It gives a brief synopsis of our Black heritage that led to certain mindset between male and females in the Black family. Also, it gives facts and substantial research involving the dynamics of the Black family. In essence, it triggers us to take a closer look at our relationships between male and female and what the future lies for us, and what we suppose we do to deter a family further breaking down, and how to increase marriages between us.
