Synopsis "Callous Is the Heart (in English)"

Donavan was happy and content with his life of loveless solitude. The unexpected passing of his parents forced him to leave it all behind. Blindly, he is taken against his will by beauty. Michelle, a woman notably out of his league, unleashed and freed from her own conditions falls deeply for him. Tragedy looms during the birth of their daughter Elizabeth and Michelle begs for his forgiveness. Underneath the cold exhales of her dying breath she tries to confess, but is lost to the inevitable. Elizabeth's third birthday is cursed by a failing heart, dredging up memories of that horrible day. On his journey for answers, Donavan discovers the truth of his beloved's past. In his self-absorbed tormented state, he neglects Elizabeth's health, leading it to quickly deteriorate. While searching for a way out, they get trapped in a spiral of debauchery, sexual exploitation and a web of murders.
