Synopsis "Book of Change (in English)"
The "Book of Change" is a collection of poems with a focus on the existential questions which face us all, the purpose and meaning of life, the significance of love, and how our passage through this universe might lead us to an understanding of eternity. The poems are in the school of the romantic poets of the 18th and 19th Centuries with use of rhyme and regular stanzas. Accompanying Kyril Calsoyas' poems are a series of drawings by Raoof Haghighi, a renowned European artist whose work hangs in the National Portrait Gallery in Britain. The drawings also suggest existential questions for the reader through the use of dissonance and blending of classical and modern techniques.
