Synopsis "Body on the Beach (in English)"
With Body On The Beach, Delta author Ernest Y. Cox writes about crime and punishment and what happens when ordinary citizens decide to take the law into their own hands. The action takes place in the shadows of the rough and tough mean world of the San Francisco police, the District Attorney, the Public Defender and the criminal courts. Joining that crowd is Ed Eberhart, retired from the police department with a heart condition, he claims, was aggravated by watching the steady increase of crime on the streets and the seeming inability of the Justice System to keep up with it. Disgusted at watching what he considers inefficiency or outright laziness of some of the local judges, Eberhart forms the Punish All Criminals, PAC, a group of well-meaning citizens whose announced mission is to monitor criminal cases and their painstakingly slow movement through the courts to a conviction and sentencing-if any.
