Biometrische Systeme haben den heutigen Hochtechnologiemarkt in Bereichen wie Passbüros, Lebensmittelkarten, Wähleridentifikationskarten, PAN-Karten usw. revolutioniert. Das explosive Wachstum der Technologie hat zu "Abschöpfen" und "Abhören" geführt. Zwei grundlegende Operationen, die von einer Digitalkamera ausgeführt werden, sind die Bildaufnahme und -speicherung. In diesem Buch wird ein Bild mit einer Digitalkamera aufgenommen und die Bilddaten werden mit MATLAB 8.2 verarbeitet, das als Eingabe in den VHDL-Code gegeben wird.
