A Native American warrior comes forward in time with a visionary message for the world of 2017, and also takes Martha Clayton Banfield back in time during a canoe trip down the blackwater Edisto River. Martha is shown the pristine world of the late 1600's, when the land was yet uncorrupted by pollution and modern technology. During this journey down the Edisto, the Native American warrior "guide" also takes Martha to meet her English ancestors of the 17th Century, as well as her Native American ancestors. She is taken to a white settlement, and then to the Indian Village of "Edistowe Towne." Based on historic facts, the story has a modern day visionary message for everyone.
