Synopsis "Ashes of Memory (in English)"
A young girl awakens from unconsciousness in a bombed building during World War 2. She realizes that her memory is gone. Where she is, what day it is, even her name is unknown to her. She is sent to a hospital where she recovers from her wounds, but her memory is not restored to her. She is told she must choose a name and then be sent to live with someone who will take care of her, because the hospital cannot keep her any longer. Under the name of Ivy Morgan, she is sent to live in an estate called Mossy Brooks, in Northern England where a wealthy widow is taking care of orphaned war refuges. At Mossy Brooks, Ivy makes friends, battles bullies and discovers a mystery about the widow's past. She receives flashbacks of old life before the bombing, but nothing to give her a clue of her name, or her family... If she ever had one. Will she defeat the bullies and discover the secret behind the widow's sadness? But most importantly, will Ivy be nameless forever, or will her memory be restored to her?
