Appointment With Destiny is the profound and moving story of my spiritual children, Allan and Kathy Kiuna. It is the compelling account of their troubled childhoods and a series of crises that culminate in a gorgeous and mature life that is totally surrendered to God. This book describes tangible miracles including financial provision, the birth of a blossoming Jubilee Christian Church which is touching Kenyan cities and spreading beyond African borders. The story of this couple confirms that the promises of God stand well in the crucible of life. They lost their jobs, property and friends. Their only son Jeremy was born prematurely, weighing a meager 1.1kgs with his legs not fully developed. It is a miracle that this baby survived and continues to grow in body mind and spirit; and in favor with God and man. When adversity causes some to break down, others break records instead. Through difficult life experiences, this couple has found out that Jesus Christ is all they need when Christ is all they have. Such faith grown and matures in the valley has made this family and the ministry in their hands beautiful. Having gone through so much, Pastors Allan and Kathy are original in their preaching, worship and in their recorded music which is touching lives nationally and internationally. Their practical life that is surrendered to God and given to the flock is admirable. Only that which flows from a genuine heart can touch other hearts. Single parents and single men/women in an African setting will specially be encouraged to find that Pastor Allan married Pastor Kathy as a single mom and loved her and her daughter genuinely with no strings attached. One will also discover that variety is the spice of life. Although the personalities of this couple are different, they blend beautifully .They complete and complement each other; both in the family life, and as leaders of the flock they watch over. They employ their gifts and talents to build each other up and grow the flock of God. Their submission to their spiritual mentor and to one another "as unto the Lord" is a rare example to emulate. Pastors Allan and Kathy Kiuna are "written epistles." They portray Christ-like character of humility, love, integrity, sincerity, faithfulness, service and diligence, in words and deeds. They are examples to emulate in the Church leadership in this dispensation and have much more to offer in the dispensation to come. The sky is their limit.
