Therefore, if something is true, then it will be rational. Because apologetics needs to be rational, it is important for the apologist to become more knowledgeable about Christianity as well as opposing arguments. In order to provide sound reasons for the hope of Christ, we have a responsibility to understand what others believe so we do not caricature their beliefs or build straw man arguments
