There can be little dispute however, that issues such as child labour, child soldiers, and the disaffection of youth in Africa must be considered from context-specific and local perspectives, as well as from 'universal' or standardised positions. Hence the value of this text, a concise annotated bibliography, which is constructed from literature on children and childhood, from or about Africa, published between 1995 and 2000.
