Synopsis "Anita's Passion: Anita Jean Maxwell never hid her mixed heritage from anyone. As a young lawyer, she always tried to exhibit the best c (in English)"
Anita Jean Maxwell never hid her mixed heritage from anyone. As a young lawyer, she always tried to exhibit the best character traits of both her Native American mother and Caucasian father. She knew she could handle any conflicts that would arise between the two cultures. However, a surprise gift that changed her life came from a man she never knew, her father Doctor Jordan Maxwell. She was now the owner of Sky Lake lodge and hundreds of acres of mountain property. The long drive into the mountains was worth the anticipation. She found her Shangri-La and made a new friend, Meg. Anita knew she had come home. Anita was forced to hire a caretaker to look after her property while she attended to legal matters in the city. Brad Halloran disguised his true identity and was hired as her handyman. He hated the deception but it was necessary. The first meeting between Anita and Brad flamed into a passionate love affair. Now, they were both faced with a new set of problems, his family and business vs. her love for her mountain home and a legal career. Anita was forced to examine her values and issues of socials acceptance into his family and his way of life. She knew he loved her, but he was in denial over the potential cultural and racial conflicts with his family that were sure to come. Fortunately, the Halloran family chauffeur became her friend and mentor. He helped her find ways to turn prejudice into love and respect.
