Synopsis "An Unbreakable Bond: Till Death Do Us Part (in English)"

An Unbreakable Bond is based on the true life events Mikael Johnson and his fiancée (now wife of over thirty years) went through while he was serving in the United States Navy at the height of the Cold War from 1980 through 1984. It takes the reader from the time they first met, their initial engagement, a very mysterious two-year separation, and their reunion on his discharge. It focuses on how the lack of communications between a young couple can lead to an unpleasant breakup, a possible Soviet espionage case, and how true love, patience, and understanding brought them back together. Though fiction, this book was written using as much reality as possible. Readers will see the difficulties faced every day by those who serve our country and those they leave behind. This book also shows how important establishing and maintaining an open line of communication is. However small or insignificant you believe something to be in your life may have a large and detrimental impact on your future as a couple. About the Author Mikael Johnson was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. After graduating high school, he attended two years at the local community college, where he met his soulmate and wife just three days after he had enlisted in the United States Navy. He served in the Pacific Fleet as a Communications Yeoman while attached to the Anti-Submarine Warfare Squadron VP-19, home ported at Naval Air Station Moffett Field in Mountain View, California. After his discharge, Mikael worked in Seattle as a facilities coordinator. He received his Facilities Manager Certificate from the University of Washington in the early nineties. A victim of a companywide downsizing, he was laid off after eighteen years of service, when he attended the Brenneke School of Massage and received his state Massage License. He is currently retired. Mikael and his wife married in 1986 and currently reside in Shoreline, Washington, with their two sons and their faithful dog, June. He enjoys writing, camping, spending time with his dog, and, of course, sending quality time with his family.
