The humans all around Charlie are failing. They're failing at love, life, and perhaps most importantly, keeping him. In the meantime, Charlie-the cat-is suffering from somewhat of an identity crisis. While his caretakers, environment, and name changes repeatedly, he's unsure of who he is and his place in the world. He encounters humans and animals of various character, colors, and lifestyles. However, as he witnesses their trials and tribulations, he finds himself in precarious situations on a frenzied quest for justice. Along the way, he stumbles upon friendship, a sense of purpose, and maybe even the meaning of life. "An Ode to the Humans Who've Loved and Left Me" is a lighthearted tale of an introspective cat. It examines race relations, interpersonal complications, and the often uninspected effects of adoption.
