Volume 1 of the book, presents Yoruba proverbs starting with the Yoruba alphabets of A to I in Chapters 1 to 10, while Volume 2 covers proverbs starting from J to the last Yoruba alphabet of Y in Chapters 11 to 24. Each volume ends with a comprehensive index, which provides a summarised listing of all the proverbs in alphabetical order with each proverb shortened for ease of presentation, and indicating the Volume and the page number of the book, the proverb can be found.
