Synopsis "an anthology of radical thoughts & empowering perspectives (in English)"

In "Radical Thoughts - Empowering Perspectives", Marcus Mottley has put together a collection of his thoughts and ideas spanning more than 25 years. He comments on social, educational, political and psychological issues relevant not only to his native country of Antigua and Barbuda and the Caribbean Diaspora, but applicable to matters on a geopolitical scale. For example, 24 years ago in an article "The Profit Motive", he warned of a financial system driven by greed for the sake of profit 'by any means necessary.' In this article he cautioned that 'cancerous corporations or their host nations spreading their tentacles and holding the rest of humankind to ransom.' Events in the 2008 global financial debacle led by Wall Street seem to have proven him correct. In 2006 he warned of the "Modern Day Pirates and Privateers in the Caribbean" and tried to alert Antiguans about the dangers that a 'certain piratical financier' posed both to Antigua and other Caribbean countries. Recent events have again borne out his concerns. Whether you read "That Shhhht Cart", "Under the Big Tent", or "The Voice of the People" you will agree that this is a compelling, passionate and insightful exploration of timeless issues and critical topics.
