Cricket Oliver is tired of the paparazzi chasing her every night. All she wants is a normal life, away from her mother, the well known designer, Christine Oliver. With the help of her friend, Chico, she changes her name to Jodi Folsom and heads for the Northwoods. Resembling Mayberry, Rivers Run seems like a nice place. Zippy Underwood offers her a room to rent and three square meals a day. The only job available is pumping gas and washing windshields at The Station, but that's fine with Jodi. Very few people know that she's a top notch mechanic. Zippy Underwood has her eye on Harry Summers, one of a very few eligible men of a certain age in Rivers Run. She's tap dancing down the street in her stilettos when Harry asks her on a date. Life is certainly looking up. Everybody knows and likes Harry, and Harry knows everybody, and everything. Although Rivers Run seems like the ideal place to live, Jodi soon finds out that for such a small town, there certainly are a lot of secrets. When a near tragedy erupts at The Rivers Inn, will it force Jodi to reveal who she really is? How many more secrets will come to light? As for Zippy, she begins to wonder if she really knows Harry at all.
