If you noticed on the cover, the goal is in sight, but you cannot see it completely. So it is with people's goals that they are trying to accomplish. We must use formal education, life experiences, resources, healthy relationships and personal responsibility, if we are to reach our goals. Most people wonder why money was not mentioned. Capital is needed, but it cannot stop you from setting a plan. In talking with Patrick Steele an Insurance agent on this very subject: we began to discuss "Baby Boomers," and how we have failed to plan effectively. We talked about the fact that we live with our "hands on our heads", trying to figure out what we are going to do next. Many people live here. I asked random people what would reaching their GOALS and receiving their GOLD look like? The honest answers that I received mirror society as a whole. * Mike H. stated: "I used to want to be rich. That never happened so I settled for retirement." * Kristie T. stated: "Success scares me. My conscious gets in the way of what other people sees and I will settle for silver or bronze." * Stacy stated: "I will have quit smoking or at least cut back using the patch." * Mike stated: "I will be with my kids. I will have a reasonable amount of success. I do not have to be rich, and I will always be moving forward!" *Rebecca stated: " I have my education already, now I need a better salary. Then I will celebrate!" *Heather stated: "I will be in my own place and raise my daughter better than I am raising her, without assistance. I would have gotten rid of "all the cooks in the kitchen," by doing things in my own way out on my own." *Kristie M. stated: "I will have completed the maintenance on my house, have my false teeth, and find a miracle worker that can reverse diabetes. I also want to be a better person by through communication with other people. *Belinda stated: "I want to help other people and through doing this I will accomplish other goals." *Terry stated" I don't even know" *Steve stated: "I never even thought about it. He came back later to say, I would design, engineer and build my own house. I already have the blue prints. I just need the money." *Leanne stated, "I would be financially independent!" * Josie stated: "I would have finished school to support myself. I am in school right now. I am in class all of the time. I am studying hard!" *George stated: "I have put things on hold that I might help a FRIEND to receive her goals. My goals are to make my medical appointments and to protect myself by taking care of me." *Johnny stated" I will be rich and successful. I must work hard." Marge stated: "I want to get on my feet and be financially stable. I just want to be happy not happy right now." *Tim stated: "I don't know where my life is going right now."
