Perhaps it wasn't fair to call the arrival of the first interstellar aliens an invasion. They came as refugees looking for a permanent home in exchange for providing earth with all the wonderful scientific advances they had made over countless centuries. Why earth? According to them, the humans of earth were closer in DNA to their species than any other they had encountered. This seemed strange to the people of earth because their alien visitors were amorphous, transparent beings capable of surviving among the clouds or deep in the ocean. The real aliens invasion came many years later. By then, the transparent first arrivers, Lucie's as they were called, had used genetic manipulation to take on the physical attributes of humanity. They had intermarried and most families boasted human and Lucie in their background. With the advances in science and the unity of the peoples the ruthless alien invaders were in for a big surprise.
