Synopsis "A Woman Wronged (in English)"
Industrial vagary brings young widower, Peter Timmons, to a short assignment in Melbourne, Australia where he meets for only a moment Russian émigré Katya Simonova. He asks anyway for her E-mail address and begins a correspondence which leads to an idyllic love affair with the singular woman, nurtured by repeat visits from corporate demand and his own connivance. Permanent assignment Down Under looms and Peter contemplates marrying Katya and blissfully settling there with his two young children. In the course of the romance, however, Peter is revealed to himself to be cursed with demons which make him a jealous, untrusting, dishonorable, insecure, arrant pedant. He cannot overcome the affliction and when, in a climactic scene he strikes Katya, he is ordered out of the life of an incomparable woman.
