Three brothers grow up in New York, the city that never sleeps. They choose different paths in life, the eldest becoming a corrupt NYPD detective, one an eccentric travel writer and the other a hipster surf instructor. After being separated for most of twenty years they reunite again to take care for their sick elderly mother, a widow of a hero firefighter who suffered a tragic fate when the boys were young. Despite many differences between the three of them they discover common ground and go into business together on the North California shores. After some time of prosperity for the family old skeletons creep out of every shady angle of their pasts. A Twisted Token of Reality depicts a somewhat dark and comical existence where many tough and poignant life lessons are learned, missed or forgotten. The stark truth of this life is represented in many different personalities, those you may admire and others you may despise. In the end it is for you to choose, who is the noble man or who is the criminal? Could they be one and the same?
