Synopsis "A Feminist Analysis of "A Good Man in Africa" and "The Bride Price" (in English)"
The role of female characters in African countries is alarmingly below the standards. Females are usually characterized as the weak link in the society and are given many degrading characteristics and names. Owing to the saying that novels or the replica (portrait) of the real world, most African novels are seen incorporating such phenomena's/ideas. Thus by making a comparative essay on the reflection of female characters by male and female authors, I expect to distinguish the roles of those two genders in ensuring the fair distribution of characterization amongst them. I intend to do so by referring to two novels, one written by a female author whilst the other by a male author, which I believe reflects my thoughts on the matter in a better and plain manner.
