Synopsis "A Dark Mirrored Land (in English)"
From 1928 Gotham, New Jersey to an even stranger land called Varlochia on another Earth-like world, Private Investigator Jack Petrov and his legman Elroy Moody search for a missing daughter of important shipping line magnate Walter Bloomfield, only to take an unexpected detour through a magical mirror into the unknown. Finding Valerie Mae Bloomfield in the province of Varlochia on a continent called Plaropea, she is the guest of local lord Archduke Istvan Mardok who rules there for a larger empire. The two outsiders also meet one young local woman named Tatyana Pechak who the archduke is interested in marrying as she bears an exact likeness to another woman Istvan failed to wed a century earlier when that maiden cursed him and his family to an undead existence. Meeting this vampire lord, Jack and Elroy must rescue Valerie from his castle and prevent him taking Tatyana as his new bride when she turns twenty-one, while also destroying his tyranny over the region and finding their way back home.
